Make Yourself Clean

Our Lady of Lourdes came at a time in France when skeptical atheism was gaining a great deal of ground. Once again the humble confounded the proud and the Miraculous healing waters of Lourdes continue to heal those today who put a child like confidence of the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary to heal them of their ailments as a mother would tend to her injured child.

"And Eliseus sent a messenger to him, saying: Go, and wash seven times in the Jordan, and thy flesh shall recover health, and thee shalt be clean." 2 Kings 5:10

According to this source there are over 5000 miracles that have occurred at Lourdes. [1] Of course Eliseus in the Old testament initially refused to go and wash himself in the river to be cleansed of his leprosy.[1]

So as he turned, and was going away with indignation, His servants came to him, and said to him: Father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, surely thou shouldst have done it: how much rather what he now hath said to thee: Wash, and thou shalt he clean? Then he went down, and washed in the Jordan seven times: according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh was restored, like the flesh of a little child, and he was made clean. Kings 5 13:14
Child like trust is irresistible to the Heavenly Father and with that a lack of trust is detestable. This type though of doubting a cure can be said of those who doubt other aspects. Doubting the forgiving waters of baptism, the forgiveness of sin, the presence of God in the Eucharist etc. With these regular miracles we are able to see it is possible for us to understand the supernatural operations of grace on our hearts and souls.

Here is a list of Miracles many dating up into Modern times of ones that were heavily investigated by Scientists.

One case

Born in 1910.

The Catholic Church has officially recognized the miraculous healing of an Italian woman who visited the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in France more than 50 years ago when she was suffering from a fatal form of rheumatic heart disease. Anna Santaniello, now 94, said her illness disappeared during a pilgrimage to the Marian shrine in 1952, reported ANSA. The international Catholic committee that runs the shrine has acknowledged Santaniello as the 67th person to officially healed at Lourdes. In 1964, the Church had declared her case an “extraordinary healing.” Archbishop Gerardo Pierro of Salerno, in southern Italy where Santaniello lives, announced the Church's decision on Sunday at mass. After the mass, Santaniello told the daily Il Giornale that she was diagnosed with the disease as a child and the same illness had killed one of her brothers and a sister. "My condition got worse as I got older and after a while I was confined to bed, barely able to breathe. The doctors had lost all hope for me," she reportedly said.
