The Queen of Heaven who prays for the conversion of sinners

The Communion of Saints share in the same mystical body which is Christ. The unique unification of all Christians who share in the indwelling of the Holy Trinity share a mutual charity for one anothers well being.

The Mother of God Mary being the most perfect of Gods creatures has the greatest abundance of this charity which she showers constantly down upon her unworthy childern. Virgin Mary who is the arch enemy of Satan (Genesis 3:15) is attacked by Satan and his deceptions producing many false apparitions, fake healings, superstition, and disobedience to the church hierarchy.

For a bishop to make such a pronouncement is rare but 151 years is a long period of consideration. Mary Immaculately Conceived Pray for Us!

David Ricken, the bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay, announced today his official approval of the Marian apparitions at the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Champion.

According to the diocese, the Virgin Mary appeared in the area to Belgian immigrant Adele Brise three times in 1859.

During the past 151 years, thousands have made pilgrimages to the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help at Champion, the diocese said. The shrine’s history includes a number of accounts of prayers that have been answered, including documented physical healings and conversions that have taken place as a result of pilgrimages there, the diocese said.

A fire in Peshtigo in 1871 engulfed the surrounding area, but the entire five acres of land consecrated to the Blessed Virgin were not affected, the diocese said. It is believed that the land was spared thanks to a prayer vigil that circled the area, which was organized by Brise.

They Knew Him Not As They Walked With Him

And they told what things were done in the way; and how they knew him in the breaking of the bread. Luke 24:35
In St. Thomas Aquinases Hymn Adore Te Devote he says

Thy dread wounds, like Thomas, though I cannot see,
His be my confession, Lord and God, of Thee,
Make my faith unfeigned ever-more increase,
Give me hope unfading, love that cannot cease.
Let us not become familiar with these extraordinary miracles as the result of the hardening of our hearts in sin. They declare Gods absolute power and confess his endless love for us. Instead let us go see God who waits in the Holy Tabernacles throughout the world waiting to be adored in his body, blood, soul and divinity. So may this miracle increase your faith and your desire to spend time with the God that has made you and offered his blood in payment for your sins.

Also I was able to verify that Dean Gialamas whom performed the verified Tests on the Blessed Sacrament did work at the California Laboratory of Forensic Science from 1991-1995. For a copy of his resume please click here.

Saved from out of the womb

After having witnessed the birth of my daughter last week and coming to a greater knowledge of the sorrows of motherhood I found this recently investigated miracle touching.

A tribunal for the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh spent six months gathering evidence from family members and medical personnel concerning a critically ill baby who recovered after relatives prayed to Archbishop Sheen for intervention. The documents were sent to Rome last month, where Archbishop Sheen is a candidate for beatification, the second step toward canonization or sainthood.[1]
God helps those who call out for him, and he loves the weak, poor and humble. There a few creatures more weak, poor and humble than that of a child.

"I was cast upon thee from the womb. From my mother's womb thou art my God" (Psalm 22 10)

I am the bread that came down from heaven.

Jesus Christ the second person of the Holy Trinity said " Because thou hast seen me, Thomas, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and have believed" John 20:29. The Holy Eucharist is the great test of Faith because it forces us to believe something that our senses deny. Christ himself made it the great test of faith "As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eateth me, the same also shall live by me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead. He that eateth this bread, shall live for ever. " John 6 57:58

One does not need to be Catholic to know that most people do not believe this sacred dogma to be true. Christs disciples did not believe it then

Many therefore of his disciples, hearing it, said: This saying is hard, and who can hear it? But Jesus, knowing in himself, that his disciples murmured at this, said to them: Doth this scandalize you? (John 6 60:62)
These disciples would have already witnessed his miracles and heard his teachings. But when they were asked to believe this "many of his disciples went back; and walked no more with him" (John 6 v 66)

Our Lord God in his mercy though occasionally provides a miracle to show the truth of faith in him. So that those who are weak in their faith might "be not faithless, but believing" (John 20 27)

Which brings us to our recent (possible) Miracle on the Feast of Corpus Christi (the body of Christ)

Apparently, over Corpus Christi weekend, there had been a desecration of the Blessed Sacrament. A host was found with a bite taken out of it stuffed between the pages of a hymnal. Fr. Hedges removed the consecrated host, placed it in a container with some water in it to dissolve it and then dispose of it correctly. The following morning, when he went to open the tabernacle, he found that the host placed therein was bleeding (this is not the same host that was desecrated, but the one kept in reserve).

Fr. Hedges returned the host to the tabernacle and viewed it again later; the blood was now a small dot visible on the host. The third time he checked on the host, it was again full of blood. Fr. Hedges mentioned to some parishioners that this was not the first time this has happened (!).[1]

The picture above is of this event. All honor and praise be to our God in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.

Intercession of St. Candida Maria de Jesús

And they came to him, bringing one sick of the palsy, who was carried by four. And when they could not offer him unto him for the multitude, they uncovered the roof where he was; and opening it, they let down the bed wherein the man sick of the palsy lay. And when Jesus had seen their faith, he saith to the sick of the palsy: Son, thy sins are forgiven thee. And there were some of the scribes sitting there, and thinking in their hearts: Why doth this man speak thus? he blasphemeth. Who can forgive sins, but God only? Which Jesus presently knowing in his spirit, that they so thought within themselves, saith to them: Why think you these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the sick of the palsy: Thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say: Arise, take up thy bed, and walk? But that you may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say to thee: Arise, take up thy bed, and go into thy house. And immediately he arose; and taking up his bed, went his way in the sight of all; so that all wondered and glorified God, saying: We never saw the like. Mark 2 3-11

The gospel teaches us that having faith and asking god can obtain a miracle for our neighbor. In this part of the gospel Christ seeing the faith of those 4 men who carried the man with palsy forgave the man of his sins (healed his soul) and then to prove his authority over sin he healed the man of his (lesser) physical ailment. It is important to note that Christ did want to forgive them man of his sins in effect reconciling him with the trinity before granting him this grace of healing. An important reflection that before receiving certain graces we must be reconciled with him God first.

Recently a sister was on her death bed when her Religious order prayed a Novena to their now Sainted founder St. Candida Maria de Jesús for a religious sister who was dying and had already passed out.

Details :

Sister María del Carmen del Val Rodíguez, who came out of a 12-day coma after the sisters made a novena to the founder.

Sister María del Carmen suffered Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy that led to progressive loss of strength until she fell into a coma in 2000. Doctors said any therapy would be useless. But on Nov. 4, the religious suddenly opened her eyes. A few days later, she was beginning to talk. By Dec. 1, she was discharged with no remaining symptoms.

Doctors gave her several neurological examinations that confirmed her good state of health and total absence of neurological and physical incapacity, facts which were deemed scientifically inexplicable.

St. Candida Maria de Jesús, pray for us!

Through the Intercession of St. Mary MacKillop

" And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name they shall cast out devils: they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents; and if they shall drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them: they shall lay their hands upon the sick, and they shall recover." (Mark 16, 17:18)

St Mary MacKillop recently was canonized on October 17, 2010.

Mentioned in this article by ABC News were an account of one of the two miracles which the church has recognized for her to be canonized as a Virgin Confessor.

Blessed Mary (1842-1909) passed the first stage to sainthood when pope John Paul II beatified her in 1995, after recognising a first miracle attributed to her, in which a woman was said to have been cured of terminal leukaemia.

In December, Pope Benedict recognised a miracle in which Blessed Mary apparently cured a woman of cancer, paving the way for her canonisation.

That woman was Lake Macquarie woman Kathleen Evans. Last month she came forward to give her account of how she was cured of inoperable cancers in her lungs and brain.

Doctors gave her only a few months to live.

Ms Evans said after being diagnosed she wore a picture of Blessed Mary, with a piece of the nun's clothing attached, and prayed to her constantly, as did her family.

She said she was shocked when scans done 10 months later found the cancer was gone.

"That particular doctor said, 'what treatment did you have?'. I said none," she said.

"He said, 'did you have alternate medicine?'. I said no.

"He said, 'well what did you do?'. I said, 'you probably wouldn't believe me' and I told him.

"His reaction was wonderful. He was blown apart."

She said her medical records were heavily scrutinised by doctors.

Details on her second Miracle can be found here

49 she had cancer.

The tumour, in her right lung, was particularly aggressive and quickly spread to her glands. Within a few months a secondary cancer was found on her brain.

She was told it was inoperable and that chemotherapy and X-ray treatment were considered pointless....

A friend in the Hunter Valley gave her a picture of Mary MacKillop and a piece of her clothing, so Ms Evans, her family and her parish all began praying.

Ten months after her original diagnosis, she was told there was no sign of any cancer - just some scarring where the tumours had been.

St. Mary of the Cross who gave her life seeking to destroy ignorance amongst the young now advocates before the thrown of God and now appears to have quite a few devoted clients. For more information on her life I would highly recommend this Homily at AudioSancto.org St Mary of the Cross, pray for us.

Since then MacKillop, the daughter of Scottish immigrants, has developed a large following and has been credited with intercession in many high-profile medical cases.

The Josephite sisters held a 24-hour prayer vigil to help to save the lives of Trishna and Krishna, conjoined Bangladeshi twins who were recently separated during an operation in a Melbourne hospital. The girls survived the marathon surgery, a fact the sisters attributed in part to the nun's intercession.

....

The family of David Keohane, an Irish backpacker who was assaulted in Coogee in 2008, also prayed to MacKillop. This year the 29-year-old emerged from a seven-month coma.
